Our mission

Helping students see more possibilities before they have to choose one.

Safalta Setu is developing early mentorship for students from Indian Army families so they can understand their interests, explore educational pathways, ask better questions and make important choices with greater confidence.

Why this stage matters

Classes 9 and 10 shape more than marks.

These can be the first years when students are asked to connect subjects, strengths and interests with future education and career choices.

Without a safe place to ask questions, those choices can feel narrower or more pressured than they need to be.

Questions students may bring

Good guidance begins with the questions already on their minds.

01

Which stream fits me?

Turn a pressured choice into a more informed one.

02

What could I become?

Look beyond the careers already familiar at home.

03

What am I good at?

Notice strengths before comparing outcomes.

Our intended role is not to choose for a student. The proposed approach is to help them ask better questions, explore wider possibilities and make their next choice with greater clarity.

The Bridge Forward

From “I don’t know” to “I know my next step.”

Growth is not one dramatic leap. It is a sequence of thoughtful conversations, small discoveries and confident decisions.

01

Discover

Recognise interests, strengths and questions.

02

Explore

Encounter careers and possibilities beyond the obvious.

03

Understand

Make sense of subjects, pathways and what each choice means.

04

Move forward

Choose a practical next step without needing a perfect life plan.

What the programme aims to support

Four outcomes for clearer choices.

These are intended outcomes for the programme being developed. They are not claims of impact already achieved.

01

Career awareness

A wider and more realistic understanding of future possibilities.

02

Educational pathway clarity

A clearer understanding of subjects, streams and routes ahead.

03

Confidence to ask questions

Greater comfort in speaking, questioning and seeking guidance.

04

Opportunity readiness

A stronger habit of exploring options and preparing early.

How we intend to show up

Guidance grounded in care.

Every interaction should leave a young person feeling heard, respected and more capable than before.

Listen before advising

Expand possibilities

Make information clear

Build confidence with care

Stay practical and realistic
